Memorial Community Libraries - Coming Soon

We are thrilled to introduce the Memorial Community Libraries initiative by the Namanya Memorial Community Library (NMCL). These libraries will be built in memory of family members, embodying their legacy and love for knowledge. Each library will serve as a vibrant community resource, filled with books and educational materials to inspire and empower future generations.

The Literacy Champion Program at Namanya Memorial Community Library, in partnership with Read to Learn foundation, is dedicated to fostering a love for reading and play-based learning in our community. This innovative program focuses on engaging children and families through interactive events, storytelling sessions, and community outreach initiatives designed to make learning fun and accessible.

Membership Program

What You Need to Know

  • Eligibility: Open to all community members, regardless of age or background.

  • Membership Benefits:

    • Borrowing Privileges: Members can borrow a selection of books from our extensive collection.
    • Free Reading Space: Access to a comfortable and quiet reading area for personal study and leisure.
    • Internet Access: Complimentary internet connection for online research and educational purposes.
  • Membership Process:

    • Registration: Interested individuals can sign up for membership at the library’s front desk or online via our website.
    • Identification: A valid form of identification may be required during registration.
  • Membership Fees: Currently, there are no membership fees associated with joining the program, making it accessible to all.

  • Borrowing Policy:

    • Loan Duration: Books can be borrowed for  two weeks at a time and can be renewed if additional time is needed.
    • Return Policy: Members are expected to return borrowed books on or before the due date to ensure availability for other members.
  • Community Engagement: Membership includes invitations to library events, workshops, and programs aimed at promoting literacy and community learning.

  • Support: For any questions or assistance regarding membership, members can contact library staff during operating hours.
